At the core of an integrated quality assurance system is the corrective action hub, into which all findings are channeled, analyzed, and cleared through short-term and long-term corrective action plans. The corrective action hub is therefore managed by administrators on a day-to-day basis, but the corrective action hub also provides a central arena at the heart of the flight training operation where external authorities such as the FAA or Transport Canada can readily validate quality assurance practices. In its ideal form, the corrective action hub will be accessible on a secure Internet platform where all the stakeholders in a flight training operations can easily access quality assurance information and corrective action output, and it is from the corrective action hub that the organization's policies and procedures evolve in accordance with a state of continual improvement. The corrective hub, therefore, should be paired with a transparent standard operating procedures document that can be consulted both internally, and externally for operational guidance, and which document the continual improvements emanating from quality assurance findings and corrective actions. In its entirety, the system promotes an outstanding level of transparency that is required by all leading-edge administrations.
